Your immune system plays a massive part in removing ink. It’s a vital system that allows the body to keep healthy by attacking germs and toxins. Here’s what you can do to make sure it’s in good shape before you begin your laser tattoo removal journey.
95% of the fluid in the lymph system (the part that clears toxins away) is water, so it’s important you stay hydrated. The recommendation for good health is to drink at least 2 litres of water each day.
Contraction of the muscles and joints propel fluid through the lymph system, making it work better, so get in some exercise.
Try a massage
Lymphatic massage targets your lymphatic system, making it work harder and better. Plus, it’s a nice treat after all that exercise.
Protect your skin when in the sun
Simply, protect your skin with a sun-safe skincare routine and use a moisturising sunscreen with high SPF and UVA 4* or above protection when exposing your treatment area to direct sunlight.
Exposing your skin to direct sunlight without protection whilst it is still recovering can lead to changes in pigmentation.
Avoid smoking, limit alcohol
Any toxins reduce the burden on your system, leaving more capacity to clear your ink.
