How it works
Laser tattoo removal works by applying intense pulses of light to the ink within your artwork, which breaks down and is removed by the immune system.
How does tattoo removal work?

Phase 1
Large ink particles begin to break down in the skin.

Phase 2
The tattoo begins to blur. Thinner areas fade, denser areas remain intact.

Phase 3
The tattoo loses its form, and coloured inks and lighter blacks disappear.

Phase 4
The ink has been removed, leaving skin smooth and clear.
Exemplary aftercare

Treatment dressing
We apply medical grade dressings after each treatment and guide you through the healing process, from skincare recommendations to lymphatic massage.

Sun protection
In the week following your treatment, we recommend keeping the area covered and not exposing it to direct sunlight till the area is healed. Practicing sun-safe skincare is cool, so keep at it and regularly apply sunscreen with high SPF and UVA 4*+ rating throughout your removal journey, between your treatments and for a month after. Consistency is key!
Looking a little crispy? Unfortunately, we won’t be able to treat your tattoo if the area is burned, blistered or deeply tanned at any time during your journey. We’ll wait until the area is fully healed.

Aftercare creams
Keep the area well moisturised by applying NAAMA’s aftercare creams, which have been specifically formulated to aid the removal process.

Gentle skin routine
Skin should remain cool and calm in the days following treatment, so avoid intense exercise, steam rooms, saunas and hot baths. Minimise skin irritation by not exfoliating, waxing, tweezing or threading.
