Pigmentation removal FAQs
What pigmentation can you treat?
We can treat clients with sunspots and melasma on Fitzpatrick 1-3 skin types. We currently can’t safely treat anyone with Fitzpatrick 4-6 skin types. We’re working hard with our experts to find a solution.
If you don’t see what you’re looking for give us a call at 020 7031 3471 and we’d be happy to give you our expert advice. Unfortunately at this moment we do not treat hyperpigmentation.

How does pigmentation removal work?
The LightSense laser system is able to effectively remove melasma and other skin pigmentations by targeting the excess melanin pigment in the deeper layers of the skin (the dermis), whereas many other courses only focus on treating the melanin in the surface of the skin. It breaks skin pigmentation down into small particles for easy removal by your body’s immune system. The laser is gentle, skin-safe and ultra precise, meaning it’s fine for use even on your face.
Is it safe?
Yes, and your safety is our number one priority. That's why we use the LightSense laser system exclusively at NAAMA. It uses less energy than traditional lasers and doesn’t leave long-lasting skin damage behind. We are UK, CE and FDA approved and have clinical trials for all that certify the safety of our laser for public use.
The LightSense laser system we use is designed specifically with the skin in mind and doesn’t leave long term damage behind unlike most places. Its gentle, precise and accurate technology makes it safe to use even on the most delicate parts of the face.

How often can you treat me?
The LightSense laser is skin-safe, whereas older tech leaves behind painful blisters, scars or burns. Less time healing = quicker removal. With us, you can treat every as fast as every 2-3 weeks, instead of around 6-10 weeks.
Does it hurt?
Pain is subjective, but our patented LightSense laser system is a lot kinder to the skin than older laser technologies. We use low energy in tandem with small, precise laser spots to gently, effectively break down melanin without damaging the skin. We also use cooling agents to numb and soothe the skin before, during and after your treatment.
Can I apply makeup on the area after the treatment?
We ask that you wait 72-hours before applying makeup to the treated area.
