Former TOWIE star Shelby Tribble spent years living with eyebrow tattoos she hated. Despite being desperate to remove them, finding a laser tattoo removal studio she trusted felt impossible - until NAAMA. This is Shelby’s story.

I had a really bad experience with eyebrow tattooing and for so long, I just wanted them removed. I looked into it so many times but I was very cautious - because obviously, being on my face, I had to go to the right place.

I came across NAAMA and was absolutely amazed by what I saw and read great things. I think that was my, ‘right, this is the one, I’ve found it’ moment. And so far I’m just amazed. I love it. I’m so happy.

What was it about your permanent makeup that you didn’t like?

I wanted to achieve quite a natural look with the microblading - like nice, fine hair strokes - because I don’t have a lot of hair growth at the front of my eyebrows. I went to this place to have it done and not only did I have terrible service, but I came out with awful block eyebrows, which I’ve been unhappy with for a very, very long time. And especially as nowadays, people are more into the natural look and obviously eyebrows became a big thing. I just wasn’t happy with the experience I had. 

After having them done, I remember looking into the reception mirror and bursting into tears. I just knew instantly. I was like, ‘what have I done?’ Again, like I said, with it being on your face, it’s not something you can just hide. It was an instant regret. 

Did you start looking into removal straight away?

I’ve always wanted it done but I was waiting to find the perfect place. It’s taken a long time. 

I tried one other removal method - saline - but that didn’t really do what I wanted it to. I was still left with the light grey tone and you could still make out the outline of the block. It didn't look natural, it didn’t look good. I wasn’t happy, so I started thinking about my other options. 

When I was looking for a place for removal, I’d say I was quite fussy. Obviously you want somewhere to look good, for it to be professional, and to have outstanding results. I instantly saw that with NAAMA. I can’t even explain, it was just something in my gut that said, ‘this is the place.’ 

NAAMA has absolutely lived up to my expectations and more. I didn’t know what I was expecting, but it’s even better than what I thought. 

I noticed results from even the first session, which I was shocked about because I didn’t expect it to work so quickly. And as time has gone on, there’s been an improvement every time. I’m at a point now where I’m starting to be really happy with the results. 

Were you nervous about starting your eyebrow tattoo removal journey? 

I think when you walk into the studio for the first time you can feel a little bit nervous because you don’t know what to expect, but I just find it a really calm, clean, lovely environment. I love how modern the design is. It just makes you feel comfortable. 

Everyone I’ve met has been absolutely amazing. Just really happy, helpful, and so welcoming. I’ve really loved it. In fact, I actually enjoy coming here for my appointments because I love seeing everyone.

What’s next for your eyebrows?

I feel a little bit stuck about getting more microblading in the future. If I go to the right person, I could have amazing results but at the same time, I’m still quite nervous. Although at least I know I can come back here and remove them again!
